The Braves have been hard at work all summer and are excited for their season to begin at the end of August. Cherokee will also host a glow in the dark lighted night race this year. The MMCRU Royals picked up a big win last night against Harris-Lake Park, 10-0. Caleb Claycamp spoke with Royals head coach, Cam Kuchel, and standout pitcher, Ryan Dreckman, after the game. The MMCRU Royals will now advance to the District 1 championship match-up this Saturday in Remsen.

The Braves won 6-5 after a great performance from Sr. Noah Rapp. Rapp threw 6 2/3 innings allowing 5 hits and 9 strikeouts, while also smashing the winning hit in the bottom of the 7th. Your 2026 Sioux Valley Champion is JD Anderson. Anderson won the tournament in '18, '20, and '21. After capturing his 4th Sioux Valley Championship this year, JD is the winningest individual in Sioux Valley history. Braves baseball picks up their 4th win of the season with a bizarre walk off win over Spirit Lake 6-5. The Braves get 3 runs in the bottom of 7th inning, Ean Douglas steals home for the win. Ean Douglas and Noah Rapp lead the Braves at the plate, both with 2 hits and 2 runs scored. Karson Miller pitched 6 innings for the Braves. He allowed 6 hits and only 5 walks. Neil Kruse spoke with Coach Kael Miller after the win.

Braves Baseball picked up their 3rd win of the season last night with a 15-5 win over Manson NW Webster. Ean Douglas lead the Braves at the plate going 4-4 with 2 RBI's and 1 run scored. Keagan Kruse got the win for the Braves on the mound. Kruse went 5 2/3 innings gave up 9 hits, 1 walk and had 4 strikeouts. Braves move to 3-7 on the season and travel to Storm Lake on Thursday for Lakes Conference action.
