     CYSBA Summer Ball Sign up today at Mongan Painting or Cherokee Auto Sales today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or there will be a sign up table at conferences at the Cherokee Middle School at 6 p.m. tonight. Sign ups will be accepted for traveling teams (3rd – 8th) until tonight. T-Ball (2nd graders) can sign up until March 20th and there will be a sign up table at conferences at Roosevelt on March 20.

     The 29th Annual Sermons ala Carte begins today at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cherokee with the service from 12:05 to 12:30 p.m. with lunch served at 12:30 p.m. at a cost of $3.00. The 2014 theme will be “The Miracles of Jesus” and the sermon today will be “The Raising of Lazarus” by Ethan Sayler. Servers today are the Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Cleghorn First Presbyterian Church. The 2014 Ecumenical Giving will go to the Cherokee County Work Services, C.A.P. Food Pantry, CADA, Mid-Sioux, Hospice and CCMA.

    The Annual St. Mary’s Activity Club All you can eat Fish Supper will be at St. Mary’s High School Cafeteria in Remsen from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The menu will include homemade salads and desserts, as well as fried and baked fish, corn and cheesy potatoes. Carry-outs and deliveries are available.
