Cherokee Soil and Water Conservation District
The Cherokee Soil and Water Conservation District will have their regular monthly meeting today at 8:30 a.m. at the USDA Service Center in Cherokee. Individuals with special needs should notify Tracy Rasmussen at 225-4151.
Good Times Place Senior Center
"The Good Times Place Senior Center" located at the Cherokee Community Center will have Crafts and Sewing at 9 a.m. in the lower level card room. (call Morgan at 225-6166).
Christian Action Program Food Pantry
The Christian Action Program, serving Cherokee County, will have a Food Pantry every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the basement of the Immaculate Conception Rectory, 7th & Cedar Streets in Cherokee. Call 225-4635 for more information. Donations are welcome.
KCHE Ag Appreciation Day
KCHE Ag Appreciation Day will be today at the Cherokee Community Center. Doors open at 11 a.m. and there will be a free lunch served at 12 noon. There will be door prizes and more!

Take Two-sday Movie
Take Two-sday Movie at 1:00 p.m. at the Cherokee Library. This is for ages 18 and over. Popcorn is provided. Bring your own non-alcoholic drink if you wish. Call library for title and any other information.
Alzheimer Support Group
Strengthening Families Program
A Strengthening Families Program for parents and youth 10-14 is scheduled at the Cherokee Middle School. There will be a supper at 5:30 p.m. and Program activities from 6 to 8 p.m. There is no cost to families and childcare is provided. The Strengthening Families Program is a series of family focused program which are designed to cater to parents, youth, and the family as a whole.
Sermons Ala Carte
The Cherokee Memorial Presbyterian Church is sponsoring its 32nd Annual Sermons ala Carte Worship and lunch Wednesdays at noon during lent. The theme is “Rescued By….” Today’s program is at Briar Cliff University with Sister Shirley Fineran and the theme is “Rescued by … Justice”. Monica Cowan is organist and the server is Immaculate Conception Church. The service is from 12:05 to 12:30 with lunch at 12:30 at a cost of $3.00. The 2017 Ecumenical giving will go to the Cherokee County Work Services, C.A.P. Food Pantry, CAASA, Mid-Sioux, Cherokee Hospice and CCMA.

The Knights of Columbus Annual Fish Fry Dinner will be tonight from 4 to 7 p.m. at the VFW Club. Cost is $9.00 for adults and $7.00 for children. Shrimp will be available at an additional cost.

22nd Annual Cherokee Coounty Recognition Banquet
22nd Annual Cherokee County Recognition Banquet at the Aurelia Community Center. There will be a Social at 5:30 p.m., Buffet Dinner at 6:30 p.m. and Awards and Presentations at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person if purchased by March 17 or $30 per person if purchased after this date. There will be a First ever Cherokee County 4-H Fun Day Dodgeball Tournament at the Cherokee Washington High School. The Sanford Museum will have a Planetarium program at 2:00 p.m. at the Sanford Museum. Programs are free and open to the public.
