Cherokee Farmers Market
The Cherokee Farmers Market will be open each Thursday night from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.beginning Thursday, June 2. It will be at the Railroad Depot, 119 S. 4th Street in Cherokee.The Cherokee Farmers Market features only Iowa grown produce grown in Cherokee County or the adjoining counties of Buena Vista, Clay, Ida, O’Brien, Plymouth, Sac, Sioux and Woodbury. 2016 Chamber of Commerce Customer Appreciation Event
The 2016 Chamber of Commerce Customer Appreciation Event with Food, Family Fun and Prizes will be today from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will also be a street dance featuring “Mighty Nish” from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight in the Parking Lot on East Main Street in Cherokee. There will also be a food stand with burgers and brats and an adult beverage area. This event is free of charge.

"Things With Wings" for K-1st
Tuesday, July 19 thru Thursday, July 21
“Things With Wings” is the theme of the Cherokee County Conservation Board’s Annual Summer Camp this year. This camp will be offered for those who have completed grades K-1st this last school year. Registration is due by July 13 and forms can be picked up at the CCCB office. For more information call 225-6709.
Christian Action Program Food Pantry
The Christian Action Program, serving Cherokee County, will have a Food Pantry every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the basement of the Immaculate Conception Rectory, 7th & Cedar Streets in Cherokee. Call 225-4635 for more information. Donations are welcome.
